Below are questions we frequently receive about false eyelashes!

1) What is the difference between synthetic and mink false eyelashes?

The main difference between synthetic and mink lashes is in the quality. Because mink is 100% natural fur, it provides a natural shine, is super lightweight and flexible, gives a feather like look, can be curled like real human hair, and can be worn up to 25 times. Synthetic eyelashes, although cheaper, are irritating to the eye, fake and unnatural when worn, and can only be used a few times. Mink eyelashes are considered a premium high end product when compared with synthetic ones.

2) How long does it take to apply Lashes?

Practice makes perfect! Like anything you do in life, the more you do it the easier it will be. On average, users of false eyelashes take less than 5 minutes to apply the lashes; this includes waiting for the glue to become tacky and for the lash to set on your natural lashes. So from start to finish, applying your  Lashes should take you less than 5 minutes!

3) How many styles of lashes are offered at Blink?

At Velour, we offer a total of 5 custom designed lashes: 5 upper lashes and  lower lashes. Each style is designed to achieve a different look and for a different occasion, with some lashes being more dramatic than others, some with more length than others, and so on.

4) What are lower lashes?

Ever notice how lashes are so long on both the upper lashes AND the lower lashes? Well, we did! And at Blink, we’ve decided to create two lower lashes to achieve the famous Kardashian look. Lower lashes will have a huge impact on your eyes, making them appear larger and more captivating. Check out our video on how to apply these beautiful lower lashes!

5) Who can use false eyelashes?

Everyone and anyone! False lashes are suitable for anyone and are for people of all ages. Whether it is for a night out, dance recital, wedding, or anniversary, lashes can be worn by anyone and anywhere! (Just not under water.)

6) What is Blink?

Blink Lashes are made up of 100% natural mink fur which is hypoallergenic and sterilized to ensure safe use. The fur is humanely sourced to ensure both the welfare of the mink as well as the quality of the material as the healthiest minks produce the finest furs. Unlike other synthetic lashes, our mink lashes are free from any chemical processing and dye which allows for an extremely soft, lightweight, and natural look which simply cannot be matched.

Usage and Care of Your Lashes

1) Can I apply mascara on my Lashes or any sort of product?

Do NOT apply mascara to the actual mink fur as this can ruin the quality of the fur and can limit the number of uses. The reason we do not suggest applying any products on the mink is that they may contain oil that can ruin the shine and quality of the fur. It is, however, okay to apply mascara on your natural lashes before applying your  Lashes.

2) Can I curl my Lashes?

Yes of course! Because  Lashes are made of 100% natural mink fur, you can curl the lashes as if they were your own! The best part about using mink fur (aside from how gorgeous it makes you look) is that the curl stays for a very long time and maintains its shape.

3) How do you clean Lashes?

Mink eyelashes are known for their durability and quality, allowing for up to 25 USES! To ensure you get the most use out of your Lashes it is essential to take care/clean them after each use. Here are the tips you should follow.

4) Where do I store my Lashes?

To maximize the number of uses for your Lashes we highly recommend placing them in their original casing when you are not wearing them. This will prevent the lashes from collecting dust and bacteria which can ruin the mink fur. Please refer to our How to Care page to get a detailed explanation of how to maintain and care for your  Lashes.

5) Can I swim with my Lashes?

No, we do not recommend swimming in your Lashes as this can ruin the curl and style of the lash. Mink fur is very delicate and soaking the lashes in water can ruin the design. Make sure you take off your Lashes and store them in the original casing before you go for that swim!

6) How do I measure and trim Lashes?

Before applying glue and trimming the lash, measure Lashes so that it fits the length of your natural lash line. Always trim from the outer end of the lash and not the inner. Usually we recommend users cut just short of the natural length of the eye as this will provide an easier application and will prevent the band from poking the inner corner of your eyes.
